Grant Applications

Bexar County Department of Community Community Development and Housing Division invites interested and eligible parties to submit applications for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, HOME Investment Partnership Program and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Program funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

A grant funding year runs October 1 through September 30. The funding allocation cycle for an upcoming funding year usually begins in January when applications are released. Informal notices of application availability are mailed to individuals, organizations and cities who have requested to be on the mailing list. Call (210) 335-6648 to request to be added to the mailing list. Formal Notice of the Availability of Funds and release of applications is published in the San Antonio Express Newspaper in the legal notice section of the paper and posted on our website for public review.

The application contains information for potential applicants on the federal and local guidelines for all programs as well as the County’s application. All funded projects must comply with strict eligibility criteria. Prior to submitting an application, please carefully review the information to determine if your request for funds will qualify under the federal regulations. While Bexar County CDH Division staff is available to provide technical assistance, answer questions regarding regulations, applicant and project eligibility and County application process, it is the responsibility of the applicant to become educated on the federal regulations that govern the CDBG, HOME and ESG programs.
