Dan Curry grew up in central California and moved to Texas to attend Texas Tech University, where he received a Master’s Degree in Architecture. He is a licensed Architect in the state of Texas, and as an adjunct professor, teaches construction management techniques to college students.
Dan has 14 years of private and public sector experience, most recently as the County’s Capital Projects Manager in the Facilities and Parks Department where he managed a program with approximately $170 million in concurrent projects. As the County’s Capital Projects Manager he was also responsible for managing relationships between contractors, consultants and administrative staff to effectively deliver completed projects. During his time with Facilities and Parks, that division’s capital improvements team has been recognized three consecutive years by the San Antonio Chapter of the Association of General Contractors of America as the number one public owner to do work for in the region.
Dan is to dedicated to assisting all departments help achieve strategic planning goals and objectives as approved by Commissioners Court. At Texas Tech, Dan met his beautiful wife, Robyn, and has been married for thirteen years. He has an 11-year old son who looks like a miniature version of himself and a boisterous 8-year old daughter.
