Digital Counties Survey Winner 2014The Digital Counties Survey awards focuses on identifying the best work being done by county government technology agencies, and shed light on the technology trends of tomorrow.

“Counties across the country are using technology to enhance services, maximize efficiency and save money,” said NACo Executive Director Matthew D. Chase. “The Digital Counties Survey recognizes counties’ best practices and effective uses of technology to better serve their communities.”

In 2014, Bexar County was ranked 8th amongst counties that served a population of 500,000 or more.



Best of Texas 2014 Winner The 2014 Best of Texas Awards showcased what it means to advance public sector IT at the state and local level.

In 2014, the Bexar County BiblioTech was selected for the Best IT Collaboration Among Organizations award and the Active Felony Warrants GIS Application won the Best In-House Developed Application award.



Best of Texas Winner - 2013The Best of Texas Awards program salutes IT professionals and projects in Texas state and local government organizations and educational institutions.

In 2013, the Bexar County Candidate Campaign Finance Reports Search was selected as the Best Application Serving the Public for its ability to allow users to search for financial reports by office, name or date.



DGAA Winner - 2013 The Digital Government Achievement Awards (DGAA), which highlight outstanding agency and department websites and applications, presented 57 awards in 10 categories in 2013.

The County Clerk and District Clerk Court Records Search won an award in the Government-to-Citizen Local Government category.



Best of Texas Winner - 2012 The Best of Texas annual awards program spotlights the top government IT efforts over the past year in the state of Texas.

In 2012, the Bexar County Parks Reservation System was honored as the “Best In-House Developed Application” for its features and the ability to reserve a park online, which has streamlined a manual and paper-based system.



ESRI SAG Award - 2012 The ESRI SAG Award focuses on recognizing organizations that embrace geographic information system (GIS) technology in order to improve interactions within the community.

The Bexar County GIS group was recognized for their focus on providing county staff and constituents with access to GIS data and functions in order to ensure more effecient business processes and information.



Digital County Survey Winner 2012 The Digital Counties Survey awards focuses on identifying counties that lead the way in technological innovation despite their limited resources.

2012's winners were identified by their ability to “save money [...] by simplifying their information technology infrastructure and sharing systems with other governments.”

In 2012 Bexar County was ranked 5th amongst counties that served a population of 500,000 or more.



Best of Texas Winner - 2011 The Best of Texas awards program recognizes public sector professionals and local government organizations for their dedication and contributions to IT in Texas.

In 2011, the My Bexar Community Dashboard won the Best Application Serving the Public award given by the Best of Texas.




In 2011, Bexar County was surveyed as being one of the top counties serving a population of 500,000 or more.


DGAA Winner - 2011 The Digital Government Achievement Awards (DGAA) highlight outstanding agency and department websites and applications. Forty-three awards in six categories were given in 2011.

The My Bexar Community Dashboard won an award in the Government-to-Citizen County Government category.
