Michael Hoyle - Chief of the Criminal Trial Division
Michael Hoyle is the Chief of the Criminal Trial Division of the Bexar County Criminal District Attorney's Office. He is responsible for the daily supervision of, as well as ensuring the training and mentoring of all Assistant Criminal District Attorneys assigned to the felony and misdemeanor trial courts of Bexar County.
Michael is a native of Fort Worth, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas A&M University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center. Michael began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney with the Harris County District Attorney's Office in 1997. In 1999, he moved to his wife's hometown of San Antonio and served as an Assistant District Attorney with the Bexar County Criminal District Attorney's Office until 2004. He successfully prosecuted numerous felony trials in District Court and gained a reputation as a skilled no-nonsense trial lawyer. Beginning in 2002, Michael and his wife became the owners and operators of a successful local business that Michael continues to operate today. Michael has worked as a criminal defense attorney since 2007, with an emphasis on difficult felony cases.
Michael has extensive trial experience encompassing all classes and degrees of criminal cases including the most serious felony offenses under Texas law. He has been licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of Texas since 1997.
